How To Block Tables

This setting restricts a specific table or tables from being booked. This can be limited to a specific day, a set time, or even a set date range. As well as this, you can restrict a table from being booked online or even in-house. Please follow the steps below to implement this feature.
Please Note: you must have Admin Rights to block tables.
1
Click on the ' TablePath' logo in the top left.

2
Click on ' Reservations' .

Quick Link: If you are already logged into the TablePath Dashboard, click on the following link to jump straight to the 'Reservations': https://manage.tablepath.com/admin/reservations

3
If you are using grid view, simply click on the table on the left-hand side of the page that you would like to block.

  • If you are using other views, click on 'Menu' on the top right-hand side of the page and click 'Blocked Tables'.

!
If you have PIN codes enabled, only staff with manager access will be able to set a blocked table.

N.B. If your account needs to be upgraded to manager access, please request this from the account owner or another administrator. Head to this article for instructions. If this is not possible, please contact support at support@tablepath.com.

4
Select the table(s) you would like to be blocked. To select more than one, hold the CTRL key as you're selecting them.

5
Select a day of the week, if you're looking for this blocked table to be for a specific day. Otherwise, leave this as 'Every Day'.

6
If you would like the blocked tables to apply to a date range, set the start and end date.

7
If you would like the blocked tables to apply to only a specific time range during the day, set the start and end time.

8
If you'd like to block the table for online bookings only, please tick the box called 'Available For In-House Bookings'. If you leave that unticked, the blocked table will apply to both online bookings and in-house bookings.

9
Add a note as to why you're blocking the table. This is so staff members can see why you've blocked the table.

Customers will not be able to see this note.

10
Click 'Save' or 'Save + Add More'. Clicking ' Save' allows you to save your new blocked table and closes the pop up window. By clicking ' Save + Add More' this allows you to save your new blocked table, but keeps the window open as well as keeping your previously saved blocked table settings.
