How To Add A Pre-Pay Event Or Booking Deposit

To create a Pre-Pay Event, please complete the following three main steps:

This feature can also be used for Booking Deposits.

STEP 1 - Create a 'Pre-Pay Reservation Product' for the event.

Click on the TablePath logo in the top left.

Click on Configure at the bottom left hand side of the page.

Click on Products.

Select ' + Add New'.

In the 'Add New Pre Pay Reservation Product' pop-up window; fill out the Title, Description (optional) and Price.

Ensure to tick ' Is Active' to make the product active, and input a preferred ' Sort Order'.

Click ' Add New Pre Pay Reservation Product' - to save this product

Should you wish to Edit (pencil), View (eyeball) or Delete (dustbin) a product in the future, please click on the relevant icon.

STEP 2 - Create the event's 'Pre-Pay Times'

Click on Pre-Pay Times.

Click ' + Add New'.

Select the ' Room' that this pre-pay event is for.

Enter the ' Title' for your event. This title will be used for the title at the top of the page and also the title for SEO purposes.

Enter the description to appear on the reservation page for this pre-pay time.

Enter the ' Notice Period'

The number of days notice a customer must give in order to receive a refund. If the customer cancels their reservation after the notice period is lapsed, no refund will be automatically given. Any refunds in such cases would have to be performed manually in your Stripe account.

Tick if you would like to ' Pass Fees To Customer'

If you would like to pass the TablePath fees of 3% on to the customer, please tick this checkbox. Leaving this unchecked means that the restaurant will absorb the fees instead of the customer. Please note that you will be unable to pass the Stripe fees onto the customer; only the TablePath fees of 3%.

Tick ' Is Used For Booking Deposits' - Tick this box if you want to use this prepay to take deposits.

 Please tick ' Is Event' if this is for an event, this step will ensure that the pre-pay reservation time will have its own ' Event Page'.

 Enter in the ' Description' for your event. This description will appear on this events page.

  Banner Image' - click on ' Select Image' and select an image from your files.

 If you would like to customise the time of the event, enter the time into ' Display Start Time'. Any entry in this field will overrise the start time specified above.

If you would like to disable all of your custom reservation messages for this pre-pay time/event, tick ' Disable Messages' checkbox.

If you would like to disable all of your custom reservation requests for this pre-pay time/event, please tick ' Disable Requests' checkbox.

If you only want reservations for the specified pre-pay time to be placed via the event page, tick ' Only Allow Event Reservations' checkbox.

Important Setting - Please ensure to tick ' Is Active' whether the event is active or not.

Important Setting - Select the product that you created earlier ( Pre-Pay Reservation Product)

Click ' Save >>'

STEP 3 - Create a new 'Events Web Page'

If your events web page already exists, the new event will now be visible on the website.

If not, create a new ' Events' web page on your website using the steps listed in the following Help Article - ' CLICK HERE'.
