How To Set A Cancellation Fee & Notice Period Per Opening Hour

If you would like to set a Cancellation Fee and/or Notice Period per room, per shift or per opening hour; please follow the steps below:

Please Note: This new feature can be used when the cancellation fees and cancellation notice period in the Settings page cannot be applied throughout the platform with the rooms/days/time of the day as default. Therefore, this setting allows for more fine-grained tuning of the settings using the new 'Opening Hours' fields.

Click on the TablePath logo in the top left.

Click on Configure at the bottom left hand side of the page.

Click on Opening Hours.

Click on the ' Edit' button (pencil icon) next to the 'Opening Hour' you wish to adjust.

Scroll down to ' Cancellation Penalty Fee' and to set a penalty fee for this particular ' Opening Hour', enter in your preferred figure in this field.

The penalty fee (per person) that can be charged if the reservation is marked as a no-show or late cancellation.

To set a particular notice period for this ' Opening Hour', enter in the amount of notice in hours that a customer must give before their reservation is cancelled, into the 'Cancellation Notice In Hours' field.

Not meeting that required notice can result in the cancellation penalty fee being applied.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click ' Save' to implement your new settings.
