Is It Possible To Block An Email Address Or Phone Number From Making A Reservation

It is not currently possible at the moment, however it is possible to create a report that alerts you to bookings made by banned customers. This feature is only available to those who are subscribed to Advanced Reports - if you would like a trial of this, please contact us at support@tablepath.com.

How To Create A Report For Banned Customers

Click on the TablePath logo in the top left.

Click on Reports on the left hand side of the dashboard.

Click on ' Reservations'.

Click on ' + Add New'.

Provide your report with a ' Title' and ' Description'.

In ' Fields' select and add the following fields by clicking ' + Add Fields':
  • Date And Time
  • Reservation Full Name
  • Number Of Guests
  • Email Address
  • Full Phone Number
  • All Notes
  • Payment Card Provided

In ' Filters' ensure to add the following by clicking ' +Add Filter':
  • Is Valid | Is | True

Then click '+ AND' and add the next filter:
  • Date | Is More Than | Today

Then click '+ AND' to add the next very crucial filter which is the phone number and/or email address of your banned customer. To add both email address and phone number, it is important to group these by clicking on ' + OR'. These customer details should look similar to the following:

To add multiple customers to this report, simply repeat the above steps - once again, grouping the customers phone number and/or email address. The report filters altogether should look similar to:

Once you are done click ' Save'.

This will begin to generate the report. When the report status changes to ' Complete' it is ready to view. Click on ' View >>' to view your report. If this is blank, then you do not have any banned customers attempting to make a reservation.




How To Create A 'Banned Customers' Group & Report

Alternatively, you can create a New Customer Group specifically for banned customers, and create a report including this field instead. Please follow the steps in the following Help Article, to learn how to create a 'New Customer Group':

  • Customer Groups | Is | Banned - (this Customer Group name will be whatever you have named it)

Future customers that are assigned to this new group will automatically appear in a newly generated report.

Once you are done click ' Save'.
