Two Factor Authentication With Email Verification
Overview
Starting October 1st, 2025, TablePath will be introducing Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for all user accounts. This means that, in addition to entering your password, you will be required to enter a one-time verification code that will be sent to the email address associated with your account.
We’re making this change to provide stronger protection for your account and the sensitive restaurant data you manage within TablePath. Even if your password is ever compromised, 2FA helps ensure that only you (or someone with access to your registered email) can sign in.
Why Are We Introducing Two-Factor Authentication?
Security threats and unauthorized access attempts are unfortunately common in today’s online environment. Passwords alone are no longer enough to keep accounts safe. Here are the main reasons for this change:
Enhanced Protection of Sensitive Data
TablePath stores information about your restaurant operations, reservations, and customers. By adding an extra step to the login process, we’re reducing the risk of unauthorized access.
Defense Against Phishing and Password Breaches
Even if a password is accidentally shared, stolen, or guessed, an attacker will still need access to your email account to complete the login process.
Industry Best Practices
Many modern applications and platforms now use 2FA as a standard security feature. We are committed to following these best practices to keep your data secure.
Peace of Mind
Knowing that your account has an additional layer of protection allows you to focus on managing your restaurant without worrying about account security.
How Does It Work?
Starting October 1st, whenever you log in to TablePath:
Enter Your Email and Password
Sign in as you normally do with your account credentials.
Receive a One-Time Code
A unique, time-sensitive code will be sent automatically to the email address linked to your account.
Enter the Code to Complete Login
Type in the code on the login screen, and you’ll gain access to your account.
That’s it — the process only takes a few seconds, but it significantly improves your security.
