How To Prevent A Staff Member From Overbooking

To stop a staff member from overbooking, you need to change their PIN code from being a "manager" PIN code to a "staff" PIN code. To do this, please do the following:

  1. Go to the Configure section (https://manage.tablepath.com/admin/configure)
  2. Go to the Staff Members section.
  3. Click 'Staff Members' beside the department the staff member is located in.
  4. Click the edit button (pencil icon) beside the staff member you want to edit
  5. Untick 'Is Admin'.
  6. Click 'Save'

This will result in the staff member not being able to do any of the following:

  • Book in more guests than the current capacity will allow
  • Overlap bookings
  • Book outside of the opening hours
  • Place bookings on a table that are larger than the number of tables will allow

PLEASE NOTE: When downgrading a staff member from "manager" to "staff", if you don't have enough table combinations entered in the system, they may have difficulty making large bookings.
