How To Add Custom Fields For Reservations
If you're looking to add a custom field to your online booking form or internal booking form, please follow the steps below. Common custom fields are 'Dietary Requirements', 'Number of Children' and 'Celebrating an occasion?'.

- Click on the ' TablePath' logo in the top left.

- Click on ' Configure' at the bottom left hand side of the page.

- Click on ' Custom Fields'.

- Click on ' + Add New Request'.

- You will be presented with a pop-up window; start by selecting the ' Room' you wish the 'Custom Field' to apply to. If the room is left blank, the special request will apply for all rooms.

- Insert the title you wish to give your special request in ' Label Title', for example 'Allergies'.

Next, select the custom field '
Type' - this can be a checkbox, single line text box, multiple line textbox, number, dropdown list or menus.
N.B. If you have selected a 'Dropdown List', point 14 will assist in adding the 'List Values'.

Check the box '
Is Required' should you wish for this special request to be completed before a reservation can be made.
Tick ' Is Active' should you wish to make the 'Custom Field' live.
Tick ' Enable For Online' if you wish for this option to be visible for online reservations.

- Enter a ' Description' - this will appear below the custom field.

Should you wish to have a custom field only appear for reservations with
more than (or equal to) a number of guests, enter a figure into the '
Minimum Number Of Guests' field.
Should you wish to have a custom field only appear for reservations with less than (or equal to) a certain number of guests, enter a figure into the ' Maximum Number Of Guests' field.

If a '
Start Day' is selected, the special request will only appear for reservations on this day onwards.
If an ' End day' is selected, the special request will only appear for reservations up to this day.

Start Date' is selected, the special request will only appear for reservations on or after this date. This field only applies to online bookings.
If an ' End Date' is selected, the special request will only appear for reservations from the start date to the end date. This field only applies to online bookings.

If a '
Start Time' is selected, the special request will only appear for reservations on or after this time.
If an ' End Time' is selected, the special request will only appear for reservations on or before this time.

If you have selected a '
Dropdown List', please enter the values you would like in your list.
PLEASE NOTE: The list must be a comma separated list (e.g. Vegetarian,Vegan,Coeliac)

Enter a '
Sort Order' - this is the order in which items are to appear.
Please enter numbers only.

- To save your new custom field, click ' Add New Custom Field'.
N.B. Should you wish to edit an existing 'Custom Field' click on the 'Edit' icon (pencil).
If you would like to view the settings of an existing 'Custom Field', but do not wish to edit it, click on the 'View' icon (eye).
If you no longer require an existing 'Custom Field', you can remove this by clicking on the 'Delete' icon (dustbin).
