How To Change Your Opening Hours

If you're looking to change the opening hours for accepting reservations, please see the steps below. Please note that the steps below will not change the opening hours on your TablePath website if you're using custom opening hours for the footer.

1
Click on the ' TablePath ' logo in the top left.

2
Click on ' Configure ' at the bottom left hand side of the page.

If you're unable to see the 'Configure' link, please see the following: https://help.tablepath.com/article/320-configure-link-missing

3
Click on 'Opening Hours'.

Quick Link: If you are already logged into the TablePath Dashboard, click on the following link to jump straight to the 'Opening Hours': https://manage.tablepath.com/admin/configure/opening-hours

4
Select the opening hour you want to change or select 'Add New' to add a new opening hour. If there is an opening hour for the same day, time and shift, the one with the lowest sort order will be selected by the reservation system.

5
The first option displayed will be to 'Select Room'; this can be left blank or you can select a specific room that you would like this Opening Hour to apply to.

6
Choose the day you would like the Opening Hour to apply to.

7
Select the 'First & Last Seating' time for a specific 'Shift Type'; i.e. Breakfast 9:00AM - 11:45AM.

Please Note: It is important not to have overlapping times per 'Shift Type'. This can affect which shift your reservations are allocated to, and can cause incorrect data in a report.

8
Select the 'Shift Type' from the options: Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Dinner. If you'd like to create your own shift type, please see the following help article: https://help.tablepath.com/article/289-how-to-add-a-new-shift-type

9
The 'Display Closing Time' field is optional - it does not need to be completed. This field displays the closing time to the public. This is useful when you want to display a different closing time to last time for bookings.

10
'Online Reservation Cutoff Time' field is also optional. This is the number of minutes before the service start time, which online reservations will be available for. If you don't want to set a cutoff time, please leave this field blank.

11
If you'd like to have a different time at table for different times of the day, you can do so using the opening hours. The times you set for 'Time At Table For 1 or 2, for example, will override the default value for 'Time At Table For 1 or 2' in 'Configure > Settings > Reservations > Time At Table For 1 or 2'.

12
If you'd like the opening time to only start on a particular date, please set the date in the 'Active From' field. Please note the the 'Active To' field is for the start of that day. This means that if you want to have an opening hour for just one day, the 'Active To' date will need to be the day after the date you want to be open on.

13
The field called 'Max Persons At Any One Time' should only be used to restrict the number of guests who are able to sit down at any one time. **NOTE: It does not set the capacity per time slot.** If you're unsure about this setting, please contact support at support@tablepath.com.

14
Max Persons For Entire Shift is an optional field. This restricts the number of total covers for this opening hour. If you don't want any restriction, set this field as 0 or leave empty.

15
When you're happy with the settings, please click 'Save' for editing or 'Add New Opening Hour' for new.

Please Note: If the opening hour is replacing an existing opening hour for that day of the week, please make sure to set the 'Active From' and 'Active To' fields and set the 'Sort Order' field to be a number less than the one it's replacing. If the system finds multiple opening hours for the same day of the week and same shift, it'll pick the one with the lowest 'Sort Order'.

Checking The Correct Time Is Set

After your opening hour is added/edited, please check that it's working as expected by going to the reservations page or the booking widget on your website.
